Tips to Prevent the Spread of Flu

Practice good hand washing - Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. 

  Cover mouth and nose with a tissue - If coughing or sneezing, your mouth and nose should be covered with a tissue.  Be sure to dispose of the tissue properly and wash your hands. 

Avoid eating and drinking after one another

  Keep hands away from your face, eyes, nose and mouth.

    Common Flu Symptoms:

  • Fever - greater than 100 degrees
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Body Aches
  • Head Aches
  • Runny Nose
  • Chills
  • Vomiting/Diarrhea

If you are sick, you should stay home from school.  Students can not return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours (without the use of Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc.)

Follow up with your doctor for further treatment.
